Aug. 30, 2021
"Today is just yet another day we get to see the community honor a hero and remember his wonderful legacy," said Windermere's police chief during the rededication of a city post office in honor of Officer Robert German.

A fallen Florida police officer was remembered Sunday in a special ceremony that renamed a post office in his honor.

Windermere Post Office now bears the name of Officer Robert German, WOFL-TV reports. U.S. Rep. Val Demings hosted the rededication event, and German's parents were on hand for the unveiling of a plaque in the late officer's honor.
